How we spent 7 nights on the second largest cruise ship in the world
Entertainment Overload
WOW!!! That's what we kept saying after watching the incredible shows on the Symphony of the Seas. Hairspray! The Broadway Musical was a production unlike any of the others we have seen on previous ships, especially when it comes to shows taken from Broadway. A full 90-minute production with all the favorite songs and scenes had us singing and dancing along throughout the show. This young cast put on such a moving performance that we HAD to see the show multiple times. Others must have had the same mindset since each performance nearly filled every seat each time. Check out the photos and videos below:

The second show in the main theatre was Flight...Dare to Dream. An original production by Royal Caribbean, Flight took the audience through the evolution of flying in reverse. Starting with taking the audience on a rocket trip to space and ending with the Wright brothers taking off for the first time. Using popular music throughout the decades and incredible set pieces to tell the story, this show was not only informative but highly entertaining. A definite must for any aviation fan of sure!

Being on an Oasis class ship, we couldn't skip out on the numerous other activities offered. The Ultimate Abyss dry slide is always a laugh-out-loud fun ride down 10 decks. We even got my 75-year old grandmother to take the plunge (TWICE!).
It's not a Royal Caribbean Cruise without watching the incredible talent that the ice team showcases. On Symphony, the shows included iSkate 2.0 and 1977: A Thrilling Adventure on Ice. Both of these were beyond belief, especially when you factor the ship is moving during each performance. While neither were our personal favorites (I'm still a huge fan of "Ice Under The Big Top" on Mariner of the Seas), they still provided world-class skating and fascinating performances.
Puerto Rico, St Maarten, St Thomas, & Perfect Day
This was our first time going on an Eastern Caribbean itinerary and it did not disappoint. These were the most beautiful islands we've been to so far. Puerto Rico was absolutely delicious with breathtaking views. Being able to check off a bucket-list item in St Maarten was incredibly emotional, having enormous aircraft fly just above our heads was an experience years in the making. In St Thomas, we felt like we were walking through the queues of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disney. So much history could be seen in the narrow alleys and stone walls of this tiny island. Although these photos and videos display the sights, we cannot wait to go back to explore more of these beautiful islands.
Overall we had an absolutely amazing adventure. We cannot wait to get back on the Symphony of the Seas late October 2022.
